Joyous Joyschool

Joyschool was at our house this week. The kids really are good at doing their work, writing their letters and numbers and of course their favorite part of Joyschool SNACKTIME! At our house they always request popcorn and smoothies :)

Making a Dishwasher Box House

The girls found the perfect project for the day. Making a fort out of a dishwasher box. We painted it, put a blanket as carpet, then shay decorated the inside with her artwork. Yes my girls are learning to be resourceful. If we had to live in a box you know it would be a cute one :)

Happy Birthday Shannen

We went to Chuck-e-Cheese to celebrate Shannen's 3rd Birthday. The girls had fun playing games, winning tickets and of course eating cake. Happy Birthday Shannen.

Flowers Flowers

The girls and I have been getting fresh flowers every week from a guy that hands them out for free. With the bad economy his friends who is a local flower grower isn't selling as much as he grows, so rather than throw them out they are handing them out for free. They are so nice and have been giving out free flowers for a few weeks now. They say their just giving back to the community. Thanks flower guys!

Greek Easter

Christos Anesti! We had all the Stassis's over to celebrate Greek Easter at our house. It was a true Greek Feast. We ate Lamb, spanikopita, rice with taziki, turkey, ham, etc...etc...etc. We Greeks love our food. Kaitlin entertained us on the guitar and delia felt the need to dance in panties at the table... OPA!

Walking Shay to School

I try to walk Shay to school as much as I can. The kids and lucy love it. While she was in class today Delia and I ran over to the Cardiff Library and bought a couple of books from their store. The kids looked so cute reading their books in the stroller I couldn't resist taking a picture.

Brock's Bakery

The latest thing that Brock has gotten into is making Sourdough Bread. It has taken many many loaves but yes he has finally perfected his technique. It has been a real bakery around our house, but I must say Brock makes some darn good bread!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday. Church, then my dad came over, then we went to Brock's parents house for a full Mathis Family get together. It was a great day!!!

Happy Birthday Thea Tina!

Today I went with my mom and the girls up to Orange County to spend time with my aunt for her birthday. We had a great girls day driving around Newport, having lunch at Javier's and then strolling around Pelican Hill Resort. Happy Birthday Thea Teen!

Easter Eggs

Tonight we watched Charlie Browns Easter Special then dyed Easter eggs. Delia went crazy with the colors and Shay worked on making the perfect color combos. They both were very creative. Good work family.

Peacocks!

My friend Jana took the kids and I to a place she knew of that had tons of peacocks roaming around. There were peacocks hidden in stables, hanging in fields and walking on rooftops. The kids had so much fun chasing peacocks and looking for feathers. It was a great day!
